Qualifications required
Education
All applicants must have completed at least 12 years of elementary and secondary school.
This is comparable to a 12-year course in the United States.
There is no minimum age restriction throughout the application process,
However the necessity of a high school diploma or job experience for each applicant will most likely reject those under the age of 18.
Work Experience
Applicants must have two years of job experience within the last five years.
To determine eligible job experience, the agency will consult the US agency of Labor’s database.
The database divides job experience into five job categories.
These are classified according to the amount of education, experience, and training required to execute the work.
It is graded from one to five, with one requiring little or no preparation and five requiring substantial preparation.
The occupational category requires a rating of 7.0 or above, according to the State Department.
Passport
Because a passport number is necessary at the time of application, all candidates must have a valid passport.
You must write your name exactly as it appears on your passport.

“If you only have one name, it must be entered in the last/family name field,” according to a portion of the document.
“Only you as the principal applicant must meet these requirements, your spouse and children do not have to meet the requirements.”
Eligible Country
The countries were chosen because they have historically had low rates of immigration to the United States.
However, if either your spouse or your parents are natives of a country already mentioned,
The government supplied an alternative for residents whose countries are not featured on the database.
Application procedure
Applicants must register online at the US State Department’s website or in a cyber cafe.
You should bring a passport-size photo, birth certificate, or ID, and fill out the entrance form on the DV website.
Multiple and incomplete entries, in particular, will result in automatic disqualification.
Applicants have until September 30, 2024, to check the status of their entry through the State Department’s website.
