Term 2 Closing Dates 2023. The midterm dates were moved by the Ministry of Education to begin on Saturday, July 1, 2023 on Thursday, June 22.
Following a petition from Kenya Secondary Schools Heads Association (KESSHA) members, the amendment was made.

Originally, the second term’s midterm break was scheduled to take place from Thursday, June 29, to Sunday, July 2.
Belio Kipsang, principal secretary for education, asked school administrators to pay attention to the changes.
Indimuli Kahi, the chair of KESSHA, asked for the adjustments in his petition since the original dates would have conflicted with the organization’s 46th National Conference.
Kipsang emphasized the significance of the meeting, pointing out that it gave school administrators a chance to evaluate and suggest adjustments to how the schools operate.

The aforementioned times apply to all Kenyan schools, both primary and secondary.

Breaking dates for term two midterm
Schools are breaking for a mid-term break tomorrow. This is because of the ongoing hyper-inflation of food commodities.
School Heads have decried to the government to disburse funds to schools.
This is to enable them afford to buy food to feed learners.
Additionally, most of the parents have failed to pay school fees which have hindered the learning program.
