In a statement released on Friday, Machogu informed successful applicants that funds would be disbursed to their respective universities and student accounts starting November 7, 2023.
He urged students who had applied for loans on the Higher Education Financing Portal to ensure the accuracy of their bank details as provided in the loan application.
The announcement comes after a series of protests by students across various institutions due to delays in fund disbursement.
Machakos University students engaged in demonstrations, clashing with police, leading to road blockades and disruptions in traffic.
Similar protests occurred previously at Multimedia University, where students blocked the main entry into Ongata Rongai Town in Kajiado County.
