TSC JSS internship salary 2023 JSS internship salary 2023. After receiving their posting letters, intern teachers for junior secondary school (JSS) and primary schools have slowly started to arrive at the schools.
Today, many of them received admission through elementary school principals who also serve as acting principals of junior secondary schools.
To ensure that salaries were paid on time, those who reported filled out online causalities and submitted them to the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).
TSC is under fire for delaying the payment of salary to the intern teachers hired in January.
In spite of reports that the government was poor, many teachers have gone months without receiving their salary.
However, things have stabilized, and TSC is now obligated to pay the intern instructors who were recently assigned on time.
The commission issued a call for applications in July to fill 20,000 positions for teacher internships.

According to the organization, in order to promote the implementation of the new curricula,
18,000 intern instructors will be sent to junior secondary schools and the remaining 2,000 will be placed in elementary schools.
The teachers will work under a one-year contract that can be renewed for an additional year before becoming permanent employees with pension rights.
When funds are available, TSC CEO Dr. Nancy Macharia stated that the commission aims to hire at least 25,000 teachers year for the following five years.
There is still no information regarding what happened to the serving intern teachers who were posted in January.
This is because TSC’s request for funding to confirm them in January 2024 was not included in the budget for July.
