As per the revised academic calendar from 2019, the 2021 KCPE exams were to be held from March 7 to March 10,
while the KCSE (Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education) exams will occur from March 11 to April 1.
These exams mark the last time KCPE and KCSE will be conducted outside the traditional November-December period-
as the school calendar returns to normal.
For students in Class 7 and Form 3, their national examinations took place between November and December 2022.
KCPE was held from November 28 to December 1, while KCSE was conducted from December 1 to December 23.

The Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination for 2023 has officially begun on October 23, 2023, and is scheduled to conclude on November 24, 2023.
KCSE commenced on October 23, following the preparatory rehearsals that took place on October 19, 2023.
Candidates are presently engaged in oral practical exams.
Furthermore:
– Oral practical exams are set to continue until Friday, October 27.
– These practical exams encompass orals for subjects such as French, German, Arabic, Kenya Sign Language, and music.
– The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has allocated 15 minutes for each candidate to complete their oral exams.
On Wednesday, October 25, candidates will sit for Home Science (food and nutrition) practicals, which will extend until Tuesday, November 31, 2023.
Candidates will be allotted between 15 to 45 minutes to complete the Home Science practicals.
Written exams for common subjects will kick off with Chemistry on November 6 and will persist until November 23, with Agriculture being the final written paper.
However, the last examinable subject will be the Physics practical, concluding the 2023 KCSE on November 24.
