4,000 Vacancies Announced by Kenya Forestry Service; Application Process and deadline

kfs recruitment 2023. The Kenya Forest Service (KFS) announced 4,000 empty vacancies for unskilled nursery caretakers on Tuesday, June 27.

According to a statement, the state firm offered monthly salaries ranging from Ksh8,631 to Ksh16,401, with benefits from the National Social Security Fund (NSSF) and the National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF) as incentives.

The hired candidates will be responsible with propagating and caring for seedlings in the 300 KFS tree nurseries across the country.

The Service is the main organization in charge of carrying out the 15 billion Special Presidential Programme, which aims to hasten the achievement of a 30% National Tree Cover by 2032.

In order to boost the production of seedlings in KFS Tree Nurseries around the nation, the Service is seeking to hire 4,000 “Green Army” (unskilled Nursery Attendants) on temporary contract terms.

Application Procedure

To apply online, candidates should go to the recruitment.kenyaforestservice.org website.

Candidates will receive an email notification following a successful online registration that will instruct them on what to do next.

It is suggested that applicants running across technological issues get in touch with ICT professionals.

Each applicant must be a Kenyan citizen who is at least 18 years old.

They must also live in the targeted wards, counties, and sub-counties.

Among other responsibilities, candidates will be expected to:

• collect and mix nursery soil according to approved ratios,
• gather and sow wildings,
• take part in tree-planting and firefighting activities, and
• clean and maintain the nursery compound.

KFS requested all interested applicants who qualified for the open positions to;

show up for recruiting at designated locations for screening.

The application deadline is on 22 July 2023.
