MoE JSS changes 2024.The Ministry of Education is a government ministry in Kenya that is led by Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu.

According to a reliable source, the government, through the ministry of education, has renamed the country’s Junior Secondary Schools JSS as Comprehensive institutions.
The Ministry of Education Cabinet Secretary, CS Ezekiel Machogu, announced this during the beginning of the 2023 Kenya Primary School Head Teachers Association KEPSHA.
MoE JSS changes 2024
Furthermore, according to the education cabinet secretary, primary school principals will be appointed and entrusted with the administration of education at the newly branded comprehensive institutions.
Additionally , students at Comprehensive Schools will earn a capitation of Sh15, 000 per year, according to Education Cabinet Secretary CS Ezekiel Machogu.
While students at Senior Day Secondary Schools will receive Ksh. 22,000 per year in capitation.
CS informed parents that there will be no increase in senior secondary school fees in the 2024 academic year.
The present fee payment arrangements will be kept in place.

Dr. Belio Kipsang, the basic education PS, announced that primary school principals will be repositioned into new job groups and salary scales in Comprehensive Schools.
KEPSHA chairman, Mr. Johnson Nzioka, has urged primary school principals to promptly update their signboards to reflect the new Comprehensive School title.
