MOE Memo to schools. The Ministry of Education (MoE) has arranged a series of briefings and sensitization workshops for Field Officers who will be in charge of administering and managing the upcoming national examinations.
Sub County Directors of Education (SCDEs) have been pasked to select the sites for the meetings, which will take place from October 2 to 6, 2023,
This is according to a memo reviewed by EducationNewsupdates dated September 9, 2023 and signed by Principal Secretary (PS) for Basic Education Belio Kipsang’

The SCDEs, who will brief the Field Officers, have also been directed to invite :
- Sub-County Examination Officers,
- Container Examination Officers,
- Deputy County Commissioners,
- Assistant County Commissioners (where applicable);
- KCPE, KPSEA, and KCSE Centre Managers;
- KPSEA, KCSE, and KCPE Supervisors;
- Sub County Police Commanders (SCPC),
- Security officers in charge of Critical Infrastructure
- Protective Unit (CIPU), and
- TSC Sub County Directors.
The Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) has selected Friday, October 27, 2023 as the rehearsal date for the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) and Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) examinations.
Exams for the KCPE and KPSEA will be held from October 30 to November 1, 2023.
MOE Memo to schools
Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) rehearsals, on the other hand, are scheduled for Thursday, October 19, 2023.
The exams will conclude with the Physics practical paper on Friday, November 24, 2023.
