The midterm dates for the second term have changed according to a letter from the Principal Secretary for Basic Education, Belio Kipsang, dated April 24
Term 2 mid-term dates 2023
The second term’s midterms, according to the document, would be held from June 29 to July 2. The date, however, has been modified from June 27 to July 1 of 2023 by this PS.
REASONS FOR ADJUSTING TERM DATES
In order to attend the KESSHA conference, Kahi Indimuli, the chairperson of the Kenya Secondary Schools Heads Association (KESSHA), has requested that the PS adjust the dates.
In addition to this the reasons behind adjusting the half term dates is to attend the 46th KESSHA meeting,

There is a letter about this issue from the National Chairman of the Kenya Secondary Schools Heads Association, dated March 26, 2023 and given the reference number
KESSHA/NATCONFF/3/VOL.1/23.
The letter notes that the dates for the second term’s midterms and the KESSHA 46th National Conference are currently the same.
The Ministry knows that the National KESSHA Conference is a big deal because it gives school managers a chance to look back and talk about how they run their schools.
All school managers have to pay attention to the times and stick to them.
