According to the CS, the government also intends to conduct Form 1 Placement over the Christmas holiday to give parents more time to arrange.
The Cabinet Secretary also defended the authenticity of the national examinations for both the KCPE and the KCSE,
despite extensive cheating reports in various parts of the country, which resulted in the arrest of several exam administrators.

According to CS Machogu, the government only registered six instances of exam cheating in the KCPE examinations.
Even in those six cases, there was no uncertainty; perhaps a student was discovered with a paper that did not correspond to the exams,” Machogu remarked.
CS Machogu went on to say that the government has documented 46 incidences of exam cheating in the KCSE this year.
He also refuted Kenyans’ perception of widespread cheating in the tests, which are still taking place.
So, let us claim that this time, we are nearly perfect, and the exam results that will be released are the actual marks that the youngster was able to obtain,” the CS stated.

in accordance with a new formula instituted by the Ministry of Education to combat cheating.
The CS also stated that the Ministry had expanded the number of marking centers in order to establish a welcoming environment for teachers and accomplish marking within the timeframe specified.
