School Calendar. The Ministry of Education published the 2023 school calendar, also known as the (2023 term dates).
The calendar is applicable to all elementary and senior schools.

Under this calendar, all schools reopened for term one of 2023 on January 23, 2023.
Term one lasted 13 weeks and was scheduled to end on April 21, 2023.
All schools reopened on August 5, 2023, and the session is slated to last 14 weeks.
According to the ministry calendar, all schools will be closed from June 29 to July 2 for half-term, and then from August 12 to August 27, 2023.
Following a special request from the KESSHA Chair following the annual Headteachers meeting, all schools will now be closed for term 2 half-term from June 27th to July 2nd, 2023.
Learners will enjoy a four-day break from school, plus two weekends, for a total of six days off.
The term dates on the 2023 calendar were revised numerous times in an attempt to regulate the school calendar affected by the covid 19 pandemic.
