TSC salary increment 2023-2024 . The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) formally called the meeting in a letter addressed to Mr. Akella Misori, Kuppet General Secretary.
The letter states that the meeting will be held on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at 9.00 a.m.
The Kenya School of Government (KSG), located in Lower Kabete, Nairobi, has been identified as the location for this crucial discussion.
They request that the commission reconsider the non-cash CBA in light of their lower compensation as a result of higher statutory deductions and the implementation of additional taxes like the affordable housing tax.
When introducing the TSC Strategic Plan 2023–2027, Secretary General Knut Collins Oyuu remarked that the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) had previously proposed a Sh2 billion proposal for teacher allowances, which had been well-received.
The National Treasury later lowered this allotment to Sh1 billion, though. Oyuu stressed the union’s desire for the TSC to conduct additional negotiations.
Oyuu firmly stated the crucial part that sufficient compensation plays in the effectiveness of educators.
Kuppet is requesting a 42% wage raise for teachers beginning on July 1 in contrast to Knut’s 60% pay increase.
The Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC) announced a 7% to 10% pay increase retroactive to July 1 and paid in two installments at the same time that the CBA negotiations were resuming.
The TSC has not yet released a revised compensation plan that takes into account the changes made public by SRC Chairman Lyn Mengich on August 9, 2023.

KNUT, KUPPET CBA NEGOTIATIONS WITH TSC
With effect from July 1, teachers’ and government workers’ pay will rise by 5% in August. Additionally, the housing allowance will vary.
The increase declared by the SRC is mocked by Knut, who claims it is an example of the government using one hand to give while using the other to take. TSC salary increment 2023-2024
The instructors will gain more if the CBA negotiations are successful and a deal is achieved.
This is because the CBA negotiations aim to revise teacher pay and incentives beginning on July 1, 2021.
