Teachers will continue to receive raises based on the previous pay scales until the new scales take effect on the same day as the annual increment date, which will be on or after July 1, 2023.
All teachers’ annual pay increases will continue to be governed by the 2015 Code of Regulations for teachers.
The classifications and grading system from Table 1 must be kept.
Tables 2 through 12 in the circular’s attachments provide a summary of the updated compensation plan and conversion tables.
The four types of house allowance rates are as follows:
Nairobi City is in Cluster 1
Mombasa, Kisumu, and Nakuru, as well as Nyeri, Eldoret, Thika, Kisii, Malindi, and Kitale, are all part of Cluster 2.
Group 3 consists of all remaining extinct local governments.
The remaining categories belong in Group 4.
The housing allowance rates for Clusters 1, 2, or 3 have not changed.
However, the revised prices for Cluster 4 will be implemented gradually.
The initial payment was a part of the paycheck received in August, and back pay will be paid beginning on July 1, 2023.
On July 1st, 2024, the second installment must be paid.
The house allowance rates are listed in Appendix A. In accordance with Appendix B, all additional allowances, if any, will still be paid.
