TSC CEO Nancy Macharia revealed that in addition to hiring 11,000 new teachers, they also intend to replace 1,594 instructors.
Currently, there is a substantial shortage of teachers in Kenya, amounting to 114,581 educators.

To tackle this issue, the government has allocated Sh1.2 billion in the 2023–2024 fiscal year for hiring intern teachers.
