TSC internship salary 2023. Teachers hired through the internship program by the Teachers Service Commission must serve a one-year term.
It is important to remember, however, that intern instructors are welcome to apply if TSC advertises job openings for permanent positions.

The internship may be terminated at the request of the commission or
an officer or
agent for unsatisfactory performance or
failing to comply to the internship’s norms of behavior.
In this context, the Commission shall make annual financial provisions.
A specific compensation of 20,000 Kenyan shillings is given to intern teachers in secondary schools.
Monthly Deductions
Kes. 200.00 from the National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF) and
Kes. 750.00 from the National Social Security Fund (NSSF).
Deductions total Kes 950.00 in total.
After all deductions, the teacher receives Kes. 19,050.00 to take home.
