TSC interview promotion datesTSC promotion interview dates. The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has released the dates for 2023 promotion interviews for teachers and school administrators.
A number of teachers who submitted their application online of headteacher and deputy headteacher are yet to already received text messages inviting them to interviews, according to TSC.
TSC is working around the clock to combile the list of shortlisted candidates for every job grade.
Shortlisted candidates and interview venues will be published online on TSC website.
According to the reliable resources all the promotion interview exercise is set to begin on 13th October 2023.
The commission expects to promote a total of 36,000 teachers to the common cadre during the current fiscal year (FY) 2023-2024,
TSC promotion interview dates
During the physical interview sessions, applicants will be expected to show the following documents:
1. Original National ID card
2. Original Academic and Professional Certificate
3. Letter of appointment to the current grade
4. Letter of appointment to the current post
5. Analyzed individual subject results in KCSE examination for the last three years, certified by TSC CD/SCD
6. Performance Appraisal Report for 2020, 2021, and 2022
7. Any other relevant testimonials supporting your performance.

The Commission has developed a new interview score sheet for promotions. The following areas are tested and a candidate must score 50% and above in order to be deployed.
The interview areas and maximum marks to be awarded:
A). ADMINISTRATIVE ABILITIES IN THE CURRENT ASSIGNMENT
i). Achievements– 10 marks
ii). Co-curricular achievements- 8 marks
iii). Participation in Education affairs- 5 marks
iv). Knowledge on the formation, members and functions of BOG and PTA- 5 marks
v)Role of the sponsor- 2 marks

B). KNOWLEDGE OF EDUCATION ISSUES ESPECIALLY TRENDS IN THE POST INDEPENDENCE PERIOD
i). Knowledge of all Education Commissions– 3mks
ii). Purpose for formation of such Commissions or working parties- 3 marks
iii). Their respective recommendations- 3 marks
iv). Adoptions/implementation- 3 marks
