TSC October Promotion update. The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has unveiled the list of candidates who have successfully secured promotions for the 2023 exercise
The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) of Kenya has recently announced the promotion of nearly 16,000 teachers during this year.
These promotions are determined by various criteria, including
- career progression standards,
- regional distribution, gender equality, and
- affirmative action for counties designated as Arid and Semi-Arid Lands.
The teachers who have been promoted will be assuming roles such as Deputy Principals I and II, Senior Master IV, Head Teachers, and Deputy Head Teachers II in secondary schools.
Additionally, there are promotions to Head Teachers and Deputy Head Teachers II positions in primary schools.
This list encompasses those who have been elevated to various positions this year.

TSC October Promotion update
The TSC has made available a PDF file containing the names of these successful individuals.
You will need to verify your TSC number and confirm your appointment.
Promoted teachers will receive notifications outlining the process for obtaining their promotion letters and additional information.
It’s important to mention that the TSC publishes teachers’ TSC numbers, which can be used to access more detailed information through the TSC portal.
In the past, the commission has faced criticism due to its stringent recruitment criteria, which resulted in many qualified teachers remaining unemployed after graduation.
