TSC promotion news updates. The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) is assigned rights by the constitution that include
- registering,
- employing,
- promoting, and
- exercising disciplinary control over its personnel.
Tsc has formally requested an allocation of Ksh 10 billion for the forthcoming fiscal year based on the aforesaid mandate.
The commission plans to use funds for,
- promoting teachers in existing work groups,
- Employing permanent and pensionable teacher in recruitment, and
- increasing the number of interns.
Dr. Nancy Macharia, CEO of TSC, has emphasized the importance of these monies in addressing crucial areas that were not sufficiently addressed in the previous fiscal year, which ended in June of this year.
Macharia acknowledged the commission’s gratitude for any assistance in ensuring that these allocations are secured.
Macharia went on to break down the financial needs, saying that Ksh 2 billion will be required for competitive teacher promotions.

They also vowed to spend Ksh 1.2 billion on intern teachers and Ksh 5.3 billion on hiring 8,000 permanent and pensionable teachers.
TSC insisted that all teachers who have been static in their work groups be given the opportunity to,
Develop their careers and improve their conditions of service.
The foregoing news provides encouragement to many unemployed teachers who have already registered with the Teachers Service Commission.
The TSC chief delivered the aforementioned presentation to the Parliament Committee on Education.
This was during their deliberations on the budget policy statement for the fiscal year 2023/2024, which is scheduled to be resolved.
