the structure and operations of the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD),
current curriculum trends, curriculum implementation, and the role of the Teachers Service Commission.
A maximum of 28 points is available in this segment.
4. Legal Framework in Education: This section tests the candidate’s familiarity with important legal aspects related to education, including acts such as the
Teachers Service Commission Act, the Education Act, the Kenya National Examinations Council, and
various regulations and manuals. It offers a maximum score of 7 points.
5. Knowledge of Educational Organizations: Candidates have an opportunity to demonstrate their understanding of various educational institutions,
including the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD),
Jomo Kenyatta Foundation, and
Kenya Literature Bureau. A total of 6 points can be earned.
