TSC recruitment documents. If you’ve recently secured a teaching position with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC), it’s vital to be aware of the documentation you need to provide during the employment process.
Failure to submit all the necessary documents in the specified format can result in a delay in receiving your salary or even a rejection of your TSC employment application.
List of Documents to be Submitted to the Board of Management (BOM) by Newly Employed TSC Teacher
The Board of Management, or BOM, conducts interviews for shortlisted teachers to fill advertised secondary school vacancies at the county level.
If you successfully apply for a teaching position, you’ll need to submit the following documents to the Secretary of the Board of Management, who is typically the school’s Principal:

1. A signed application for employment letter.
2. A signed commitment letter to serve in the school for a minimum of five years, or three years in the case of the North Eastern region.
3. Original and copies of your National Identity card (both sides).
4. NCPWD card (if applicable).
5. Two passport-size photographs.
6. Certificates and testimonials, such as KCPE, KCSE, ‘A’ Level, Diploma, Degree, etc.
7. Official academic transcripts.
8. Certificate of Registration as a teacher.
9. KRA PIN certificate.
10. Bank Plate.
11. A duly filled pay point particulars form.
12. NHIF Card.
13. Primary and secondary school leaving certificates and other testimonials.
14. Evidence of prior service as a teacher intern (if applicable).
15. An acknowledgment of receipt of your employment application.
16. Proof of separation from the Commission for those previously employed by TSC.
It is the responsibility of the Principal or Secretary of the Board of Management to verify and certify all the aforementioned documents before issuing the Application for Employment Form (APPT 1) to the successful applicant.
TSC Checklist
In addition to the BOM Checklist, the school’s Principal is required to submit the following documents to the TSC Sub-County Director:

3. A completed selection score guide, duly signed.
