- Working in their current job groups for at least three years,
- As they will be the first to gain from it.
Teachers will not only have their salary increased, but also be promoted to the next work group,
Hence providing them with a range of other benefits in addition to the income increase.
Dr. Nancy TSC CEO assured educators that steps are being taken to guarantee that promotions are completely implemented.
The TSC has also announced a revised wage structure for senior instructors.
Teachers holding a C1 qualification will be shifted to the C2 employment group, according to the commission.
TSC salary increase 2023
Those educators who are currently in C2 will be promoted to C3 in the not-too-distant future, while those in C3 will be promoted to C4.
In the month of July, every employee will receive a pay raise as well as a promotion.
The final salary rise provided by the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) for the period 2017-2021 will be completely implemented in July 2023.

Secondary and primary school principals
Students pursuing a master’s degree
Teachers of Secondary School
The principals’ assistants
In Kenya, there are 2,733 unfilled openings for principals of regular elementary schools.
There are 1,330 vacant secondary school teaching positions that are eligible for advancement.
There are 1,725 available places for Deputy Principals II, 224 of which are designated for Deputy Principals III and another 208 for Senior Master II.
To fully implement the aforementioned reforms, the Treasury will be required to contribute a total of 2.2 billion shillings to the Teachers Service Commission.
Dr. Macharia believes that teachers should be compensated for their efforts with income increases and promotions.
