TSC teachers day. Kenya commemorated World Teachers’ Day yesterday by honoring teachers from schools who succeeded in last year’s national tests.
The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) recognized their exceptional performance and commitment to educating the next generation.
Jackson Yebei from AIC Kaptich Primary School in Nandi County was the standout educator for the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) exam.
Last year’s exam saw his school finish first in the country, a credit to the hard work of both pupils and teachers.

Mr Kiplimo was well-rewarded for his dedication to academic success.
John Kanga of Masimbani Primary School in Kwale County finished second, while
Emily Tanui of ACK St Luke Primary Biribiriet in Nandi County finished third.
Sammy Sawe of Bishop Muge Memorial Primary School in Nandi County and
Amos Chumba of AIC Cheribisi Primary School took fourth and fifth place, respectively.
In the secondary schools category, Nyambaria Boys Principal Charles Onyari was named the best school principal in the country.

He was honored for his great leadership and dedication to offering high-quality education.
Albert Ombiro of Cardinal Otunga Boys came in second, followed by Linet Sati of Asumbi Girls.
Fourth and fifth place went to John Kuria of Mang’u High School and Simon Masibo of St Antony’s Boys in Trans Nzoia, respectively.
In the private schools category, the top three were James Ireri of Kitengela International School in Machakos,
Christopher Odero of Crystal Hill Academy in Kericho, and
Geoffrey Mwangi of Kitengela International School in Kajiado.
They were recognized for their commitment to providing their students with a loving and academically enriching atmosphere.
The spotlight shone brightest on John Muthiora from Strathmore School,
Erick Toneni from Rockfields Senior School in Kajiado, and
Elishebah Cheruiyot from Moi High School, Kabarak in Nakuru for private secondary schools.

TSC Chief Executive Nancy Macharia stated that the celebration of these educators would serve as an example to all,
while emphasizing the critical role that teachers and school leaders play in creating the nation’s future.
