CEMASTEA is set to provide training to newly hired Junior School teachers who will be tasked with teaching Mathematics and Integrated Science.
The county-level training, scheduled for four days from December 13th to 16th, 2023, aims to improve teachers’ Pedagogical Content Knowledge.
This letter aims to request the CTCDC to:
Invite the JS instructors to attend the training on the specified dates. The distribution of teachers, centers, and trainers is detailed in Annex 1.

Only freshly hired JS instructors assigned to teach Mathematics and Integrated Science should be invited.
The JSS teachers that took part in the April/May 2023 are ineligible.
As shown in Annex I, ensure that the invited instructors are spread across the two topic clusters of Mathematics and Integrated Science.
Ascertain that the INSET center(s) hosting the training is/are prepared to host the training.
Purchase the training materials listed in Annex II, up to the limit of the Approved Budget for the December 2023 JS County INSET.
As per the approved budget for December 2023 JS County INSET, provide a daily allowance to each participant so they can choose their own housing near the training location.
Provide a return transportation allowance to each participant in accordance with the December 2023 JS County INSET Approved Budget.

All additional training-related costs must be incurred exclusively in accordance with the approved budget for the JS County INSET for December 2023.
Ensure that officials assigned to coordinating accept full responsibility for keeping training attendance registrations and compiling trainer lists.
